Library trustees are individuals from the community who are appointed by the mayor and approved by the city council or county supervisors in the case of the rural trustee. Trustees serve a term of 6 years and may be reappointed at the conclusion of their term. Trustees represeent members of the community and guide the overall role of the library in the community.
